HI Anita,

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I found these described on
the Software for Learning website (http://softwareforlearning.tki.org.nz/):

Quizlet: http://quizlet.com/
An free online quiz maker where students or teachers can make flash cards,
using functions such as familiarise, learn, test, and offering two games to
reinforce the concepts. Teachers can create study tools to support their
programme, or host a group where students (over 13 years old) can create and
discuss study materials for classes. Terms can be shared, reviewed online,
or printed for offline use. Teachers can notify students by email when
they've posted new study materials. Flash cards which others have made are
also available through the website providing a wealth of cross-curricular
subject matter.

And Hot Potatoes http://hotpot.uvic.ca/
The Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create
interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword,
matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot
Potatoes is freeware, and you may use it for any purpose or project you
like. It is not open-source.
There are some examples of its use here http://mrdanault.com/

Cheers
Penny

Hello
Does anyone know or use free platforms or software to build on-line
quizzes for students? We are looking to do some pre and post testing for
different units and would like to do them on-line - with the results fed
back to staff.
Thanks
