Hi all,

I found it a really interesting perspective from Hamish on being truly open minded when approaching a teacher inquiry. I think that we have all been guilty of going in with very fixed ideas on what we believe needs changing and how is the best way to get there. I will be working with teachers over Term two and three to facilitate them through a teacher inquiry process around improving outcomes for ESOL students using elearning tools so you have got me thinking again about the way that teaching inquiries in general should be approached. I was wondering if you have found any particular article or resource useful in promoting an open minded approach towards teacher inquiry. As an aside, I am still looking for a couple of secondary teachers in Christchurch to join the group so email if you think you might be interested (release days provided as part of the project).

Also, since the request for figurative language resources from Digistore came through the list, I have put together a learning path using a combination of Digistore and external resources around this topic.

I'm happy to help anyone that would like support with creating their own learning paths or in using Digistore in general. There are a host of high quality learning activities for English on the site. We run free online sessions in our role as Digi Advisors. You can register your interest on a form in our wiki:

Finally, some people have been struggling a little since the change to the new way of accessing Digistore. We have a page on the wiki that might help people with that as well:

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Thanks
