Another very simple way to get started is to download Kindle and iBooks, and buy some of your class texts as ebooks - a lot of classics  are free on iBooks.  I find this really useful when analysing novels - easily being able to project text, and highlight and annotate.

My first port of call is to get a thingee (I'm pretty sure that's the tehnical term) that connects to a VGA cable so that I can use my ipad with the projector. I'm then going to download pages and keynote. Making use of the camera and video recording aspects is also a really good, and easy to apply, idea.
